Tattooing 101 ~ Intro to my scope of the Industry

Hey ya'll, my name is Jordan Cobb, Cobbtattoos; most of my friends and clients call me just Cobb, which is definitely nicer then some of the other things I have been called in my life that's for sure lol ! I am a resident full time permanent artist at Evil Sin Tattoo Parlour in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, located at 604 Upper Wellington street.

I have been in and around this industry since I was 14 years old and have spent the last 18 years involving myself and surrounding myself in this culture; immersing myself in any way possible. I am now currently on my 8th year of professionally tattooing and have completed over 10,000 tattoos, over 15 tattoo conventions, tattooed provincially and internationally, and travel frequent and communicate with my friends and peers in this industry.

I decided to create this website and blog, along with a podcast series that ill be uploading on spotify and youtube as well. I have always been into expression in its fullest form, whether it was through self expression, expression of others, verbal expression, or creative expression. Its how others get to peer into what we perceive as our reality. I strongly believe that keeping open minds and peering into what others want to express, and how they express it, truly is the best way to connect to and learn from everyone here on earth.

I absolutely love learning. Some things take me a little longer then most, and other things I master in minutes. This blog wasn't created to be an educational blog; although alot of the information and topics, opinions and views I wish to share definitely can be taken from an educational standpoint; but the blog was created as an outlet for me to share some of the day to day standpoints and culture of the tattoo Industry since i joined it 18 some odd years ago.

Ill be networking alongside some of longest running veteran tattooers I know, as well as bringing in some fresh talent to get their scope on past version of this industry, its current state, and what the future might hold for tattooing.

I created this blog as well for all those involved in the industry, a fascinating way to gain insight on some of whats going on, new changes in the industry, new products, what limits are being pushed and obviously some controversial topics and opinions. This was also to show awareness to those in the public not involved in the industry ~ a little spectacle into the lives and careers that we have pursued and some of the most amazing rewards and difficult challenges we face pursuing this beautiful craft.
